Music for Spotify and Apple Music

Artwork, title and artist in the notch, plus play, pause, skip and precise scrubbing in ten and thirty second steps. Optionally, a small reveal with title and artwork slides out of the closed notch for two, three or five seconds when a track really changes — not on pause, resume or scrubbing.

Focus timer

Presets for 5, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Start, pause, reset. The remaining time keeps running in the notch while the panel is closed.

Shelf and AirDrop

Drag files into the notch to park them, drag them out later or send them straight via AirDrop.

Clipboard history with ten filters

Press ⌃ V to open your copied text. Ten filters sort it: all, favourites, text, links, e-mails, phone numbers, numbers, file paths, colours and code — combinable with search.

Entries stay locally and permanently until you delete one, move it to trash or clear the history including favourites. There is no automatic limit and no expiry.

Notes, drafts and workspaces

Short notes and drafts right in the notch, plus workspaces for recurring tasks. All stored locally.

Weather via MET Norway

Optional. Hourly model forecasts from MET Norway Locationforecast (CC BY 4.0). Notcher caches forecasts across restarts, honours Expires, If-Modified-Since and 304, and refreshes roughly every 30 to 35 minutes. Disabling it clears location and cache.

Camera mirror

A mirrored live view of the front camera for a quick check before a call. Access is requested only when you start the mirror. No recording, no file, no transfer, no microphone.

Menu bar apps and app hints

Off by default. You move the icons you want manually with ⌘ to the left of the Notcher divider and then adopt the whole group. Notcher opens those apps' own popovers through accessibility; not every app is compatible. The separately disabled app hints read only publicly available accessibility labels for rising counters — never icon badges or Notification Center contents. Hiding groups is disabled on macOS 27+.

Layouts and autostart

Three shapes — compact, wide and tall. Optionally Notcher starts automatically after login via SMAppService. Compare it with other notch apps on the comparison page.
