Dynamic Island for your Mac
Notcher is a native macOS app that turns the unused MacBook notch into a Dynamic Island. Hover the notch and music controls, a focus timer, a file shelf, your clipboard history, weather and more slide out — free, without an account, for macOS 14 and newer on Apple silicon.
What Notcher does
- Music. Artwork, playback and precise scrubbing for Spotify and Apple Music, with an optional title reveal when a track actually changes.
- Focus. A timer with 5, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute presets.
- Shelf. Park files for a moment and pass them on via AirDrop.
- Clipboard history. Opened deliberately with ⌃ V, ten filters, favourites, stored locally and permanently until you delete it.
- Weather. Optional hourly forecasts from MET Norway.
- Camera mirror. A live mirrored view — no recording, no microphone.
- Menu bar apps. Off by default, moved into the notch only by you.
Privacy
Notes, workspaces, clipboard history and pinned snippets stay on your Mac. Network access happens only for features you switch on, such as weather or cover art. There is no analytics, no cookie banner and no account. Full detail on the features page.
Honest about security
Notcher 0.8.3 is locally signed but not notarized by Apple, so macOS may warn you on first launch. We will never ask you to disable macOS security features. Prefer to look first? The German home page has an interactive browser preview of the real interface.
